Oh man, I loved the first TDU but never played the second one. I remember my two main staples were the Ninja ZX12R and the 350Z NISMO S-Tune (with the NISMO graphics of course). My favorite TD game though will forever and always be Off Road Wide Open. My brother and I spent hours in that game on the original Xbox playing hide and seek. Good times.
This post has now inspired me to go out and find copies of all all mentioned games again, hahaha.

I remember it being extremely flawed on consoles for having players just drop out of online sessions. You would be driving with a buddy then turn back and there would be nothing but empty road. Hopefully the PC version is not as broken.
